Communications Ministry

External and Internal Communications

The Communications ministry oversees communication within our church and publicity for special worship services, service and outreach activities. The Communications ministry oversees the "Yard Sign Ministry", which provides spiritual messages and information for those who pass by Memorial Drive Lutheran Church.

Functions of the Ministry are: create communication strategies; strenthen the public image of the congregation and church; promote the church as an "outpost" to do ministry; identify community needs and encourage or provide programmatic outreach to the community.

Responsibilities include:  Community relations; publicity--newspaper, radio and TV; internet ministry; Facebook on internet; member directory; pictorial member directory; create a form of communication to non-electronic parishioners and the yard sign ministry.
